Fellix MCP server

Looking for step-by-step setup? See the integration guides.

Lets an AI assistant work in Fellix the way you do: look up a client, read and answer a conversation, book or move an appointment, pull a report. It speaks the Model Context Protocol, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other MCP client can use it.

Server address: https://api.fellix.ai/mcp (Streamable HTTP). The tables below are generated from the server's own list of tools when this page is built, so they name exactly what a connection is offered.

Connecting

Give your assistant the address https://api.fellix.ai/mcp. There are two ways it can then prove who it is, and they decide what it may do.

Signing in as yourself

The usual way, and the one every member can use, not only an owner. The assistant sends you to a Fellix page where you pick the organization and tick what it may do. It then works as you: it sees what you see in the dashboard and may do what your role may do, within the permissions you ticked. Nothing is pasted and no key is created.

An API key

For an assistant that runs on behalf of the business rather than a person. Create a key under Settings → API keys (owners only) and send it as Authorization: Bearer flx_live_…. It acts as the organization, within the key's permissions, the way the REST API does.

The address is also on your Account Settings → Connected apps page in the dashboard, under Connect an AI assistant, with a button to copy it.

Setting up your assistant

Each assistant has its own screen for adding an MCP server. Where its makers move a menu, their own help pages are the authority; the address and the sign-in stay the same.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Fellix and paste https://api.fellix.ai/mcp as the URL. Leave the OAuth client setting as it is: Claude's published identity and automatic registration both work.
  3. Press Connect, sign in to Fellix and choose what Claude may do.

On a Team or Enterprise plan an owner of the Claude organization adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors, and each person then presses Connect and signs in as themselves.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http fellix https://api.fellix.ai/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick fellix and sign in. Add --scope user to have it in every project rather than only the current one. With an API key instead of signing in:

claude mcp add --transport http fellix https://api.fellix.ai/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer flx_live_…"

ChatGPT

  1. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, press + and choose Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Fellix, add a short description, and enter https://api.fellix.ai/mcp as the URL.
  3. Choose OAuth as the authentication, confirm ChatGPT's notice about custom servers, and press Create as a plugin. ChatGPT then sends you to Fellix to sign in.

Which ChatGPT plans may add a custom server is OpenAI's decision, not ours.

Cursor

Add Fellix to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or to .cursor/mcp.json in one. Cursor offers the sign-in itself the first time it connects.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "fellix": { "url": "https://api.fellix.ai/mcp" }
  }
}

With an API key, read from an environment variable rather than written into the file:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "fellix": {
      "url": "https://api.fellix.ai/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:FELLIX_API_KEY}" }
    }
  }
}

Other clients

Any client that speaks Streamable HTTP and the MCP authorization flow can connect with the address alone. For whoever builds one:

  • A request without a credential is answered 401 with a WWW-Authenticate header naming /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp, which names the authorization server and its metadata at /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server.
  • A client identifies itself with the https address of its own metadata document as its client_id, or registers at POST /v1/oauth/register as a public client.
  • The code flow requires PKCE (S256) and resource=https://api.fellix.ai/mcp. The token it returns is for this server only: the REST API refuses it.
  • The server keeps no session. Each POST carries the bearer and is answered with JSON; nothing streams.

Who the assistant acts as

Fellix checks who is behind a connection on every call, not only when it was made. Ask the assistant to call get_account and it will tell you.

Signed in: you

The assistant sees what you would see in the dashboard. Owners and managers see every conversation; a team member sees the channels of their own teams and the conversations assigned to them. A message it sends goes out under your name, and a change it makes is recorded as yours.

If you leave the organization or your account is deactivated, the connection ends with it. If your role changes, the assistant follows the new role on its next call.

API key: the organization

The assistant reaches whatever the key's permissions cover, across the whole organization, with no person behind it. The tools that need someone to act as (taking a conversation, handing one to a colleague) are not offered to a key.

Permissions

When you sign in you tick what the assistant may do, from the permissions your role can give. A permission you cannot use in the dashboard is not offered: voice calls, for example, are for owners, as the calls page is. A write permission includes the matching read, and tagging conversations is its own permission, not part of editing them.

An assistant is offered only the tools its connection may use. If it calls one it was not offered, it hears why rather than failing quietly: a tool your role cannot use says so, and a tool missing a permission is refused with the permissions it needs, so the assistant can send you back to sign in again. That second sign-in asks for what you granted before plus what is missing, so nothing you already gave is lost.

Each table below names, per tool, the permission it needs, whether an API key is offered it, and which roles are offered it when signed in. Roles are named as on Settings → Members: Owner, Manager and Team Member.

Tools

Tools are what the assistant calls. Open a row to read the description the assistant itself is given. The label beside each name says what a call does: reads changes nothing, creates adds a record, changes edits or replaces one, and sends reaches a client.

Reading

Lists, records and reports. None of them changes anything.

Prompts

Ready-made requests your assistant may offer as commands. A prompt reads nothing by itself: it asks the assistant to call the tools named below, with the right filters, and is offered only when the connection has every one of them.

inbox_briefing

Inbox briefing. What moved in the Fellix inbox lately and what needs a person, without changing anything.

hours (optional): How far back to look, in hours. Default 24.

Calls get_account, list_conversations, get_conversation.

follow_up_warm_leads

Follow up warm leads. Open hot and warm leads that have gone quiet, with a drafted follow-up for each, sent only once you approve.

quiet_days (optional): How many days without news makes a lead quiet. Default 3.

Calls list_conversations, get_conversation, send_message.

today_appointments

Today's appointments. The day's appointments in the organization's time zone, with what still needs confirming.

date (optional): The day as YYYY-MM-DD. Default today in the organization's time zone.

Calls list_appointments.

Changes and retries

Every tool marked creates, changes or sends changes real data in Fellix, and its description tells the assistant so. The two that send reach a real client, so a careful assistant agrees the wording with you first. When a client has not written on WhatsApp for more than 24 hours, the conversation can only be reopened with an approved template, which is send_whatsapp_template.

Each of these tools takes an optional request_id. Sent again with the same arguments within 24 hours, the call returns its first answer and does nothing twice; sent with different arguments, it is refused. An assistant that retries after a timeout should send the same request_id.

Rate limits

A tool call draws on the same per-minute allowance as the REST endpoint it mirrors, so an assistant and your own integrations share one budget per organization: see the REST API's rate limits. Reports have a lower ceiling than the rest, 20 calls a minute. Over the limit, the server answers 429 with Retry-After. A call that fails on our side is not charged.

Disconnecting

Every assistant you have signed in is listed on Account Settings → Connected apps, with what it may do and when it was last used. Disconnect ends it at once. Owners see everyone's connections under Settings → API keys → Connected apps and can end any of them.

A connection that is not used for 30 days ends by itself, and none lasts longer than 90 days; the assistant then asks you to sign in again. Each person can hold up to 10 connections per organization, so one assistant on two machines is two connections.

An assistant using an API key stops when the key is revoked under Settings → API keys.

Machine-readable list

The tools, resources and prompts on this page, with each tool's input schema and the REST operation it mirrors, are published as /mcp/catalogue.json. It is written by the same build step that writes the OpenAPI document, so the two cannot disagree.
