Before you start
You need to be an owner or manager of your Fellix organization, and an Intercom teammate who can install apps in the workspace you want to import. Know which region your Intercom workspace is hosted in (US, EU or Australia); choose US if you are not sure.
Steps
- In Fellix, open Settings → Integrations and find Migrate from Intercom. Select Connect.
- Choose your Intercom Region and select Connect with Intercom.
- Sign in to Intercom if asked, review the permissions and allow Fellix to read your workspace.
- Intercom sends you back to Fellix. The card shows your workspace, a scan of what can move starts on its own, and Copilot opens to explain the scan. Review the objects and the date range, then approve the import.
Permissions
The Fellix app asks Intercom for read access only:
- Read and list users and companies: your contacts, leads, companies and their custom attributes.
- Read conversations: conversation history, including notes and attachments.
- Read tags: the tags on your conversations.
- Read admins: teammates and teams, so history keeps who wrote what.
- Read tickets: ticket types and tickets, counted in the scan.
- Read and list articles: help centres, collections and articles, counted in the scan.
What it can do
Fellix imports contacts as clients, companies, custom attributes, tags, teams and conversation history with its original dates and authors. Running the import again updates what changed and never creates duplicates. Each run lists every record it skipped and why.
What it will not do
Fellix never writes to Intercom, and an import never messages your clients: no email, chat reply, push notification or webhook is sent for imported records. Imported conversations do not count toward your plan or AI credits.
Disconnecting
In Fellix, select Disconnect on the Intercom card. This removes the Fellix app from your Intercom workspace, deletes the stored access and cancels running imports. You can also remove Fellix in Intercom under Settings → Apps; Fellix then shows the workspace as disconnected. Everything already imported stays in Fellix.
Troubleshooting
“This Intercom sign-in link has expired or was already used.” Start again from Connect; a sign-in link lasts ten minutes. If Intercom asks you to pick a region or refuses a Google sign-in, go back and choose the region your workspace is hosted in. “Intercom did not grant access” means the permissions were not allowed; connect again and allow them.
